Alert and Cooperation Network (ACN) 2023 Annual Report

Since 2021, the Alert and Cooperation Network (ACN) has facilitated the exchange of administrative information and cooperation between Member States on official controls in the agri-food chain via the iRASFF platform.

It includes :

• the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) network, responsible for non-conformities with a potential health risk;
• the Administrative Assistance and Cooperation (AAC) network, responsible for non-compliance without health risk;
• the FFN (Food Fraud Network), responsible for suspected fraud.
• The plant health network (RSP), integrated in 2023, responsible for non-conformities relating to plant health.

The 2023 annual report has just been published, with notification figures for each network:

• 4,695 for RASFF
• 3,166 for AAC
• 758 for FFN
• 128 for RSP

In particular, the report details the matrix categories as well as the hazards and non-conformities most notified in 2023 in the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) and the Food Fraud Network (FFN).
