Phytocontrol offers a reactive analysis method for chloramphenicol on a wide spectrum of matrices.

Veterinary medicines include curative and preventive substances to combat animal diseases. As regards food safety, residues of these veterinary medicinal products, and in particular antibiotics, should be monitored on all raw and processed products of animal origin.

The regulations applicable in Europe, Commission Regulation (EU) No 37/2010 of 22 December 2009 and its successive amendments, establish maximum residue limits for pharmacologically active substances.

Chloramphenicol Analysis

Phytocontrol proposes an efficient and reactive method for the analysis of Chloramphenicol by LC-MS/MS at the quantification threshold of 0.1 µg/kg, below the minimum required performance limit set at 0.3 µg/kg by Decision 2003/181/EC.

The analysis was developed on a broad spectrum of matrices of animal origin such as meat, fish, eggs, milk and honey.
