Regulation (EU) 1169/2011"INCO" specifies the labelling rules for the 14 potential allergenic ingredients to be mentioned according to Directive 2007/68/EC:
- Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kamut or their hybridised strains) and products based on these cereals
- Seafood and shellfish products (e.g. crabs, lobsters, shrimp)
- Eggs and egg products
- Fish and seafood products
- Groundnuts and derived products
- Soya and soybean by-products
- Milk and dairy products(including lactose)
- Nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios, Macadamia nuts and Queensland nuts) and derived products
- Celery and celeri-based products
- Mustard and mustard-based products
- Sesame seeds and derived products
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites in concentrations of more than 10 mg/kg or 10 mg/litre expressed as SO2
- Lupin and derived products
- Molluscs (clams, mussels, oysters, scallops) and shell products
