Two new texts amending Regulation EC 396/2005 have just been published in the OJEU.
This regulation sets a common MRL for all spices at 0.3 mg/kg for nicotine residues.
The MRL for vanilla has therefore been reduced to 0.3 mg/kg.
The regulation applies from 26/02/2024.
MRLs will be lowered for carrots, tuberous parsley, leeks, dried beans, dried peas, sunflower seeds, rapeseed, sugar beet and milk. The MRL for milk will be reduced from 0.015 mg/kg to 0.002 mg/kg.
MRLs for linseed will be increased from 0.01 mg/kg to 0.05 mg/kg following an application for an import tolerance.
The regulation applies from 19/08/2024.
