Two new regulations modifying MRLs have just been published by the European Commission:
- EU regulation 2023/1719 modifies the MRLs for the following residues: isoxaben, metaldehyde, paclobutrazol.
The MRL for isoxaben has been set at 0.05 mg/kg for gherkins.
MRLs for metaldehyde on cabbage (inflorescence development) increase from 0.4 mg/kg to 0.7 mg/kg. MRLs for cabbage leaves increase from 0.4 mg/kg to 6 mg/kg.
Additional data confirmed that the current MRLs for paclobutrazol on pome fruits (apples, pears, quinces, medlars, loquats), apricots and peaches were appropriate. They have not been modified.
The regulation applies from 27/09/2023.
