EU Regulation 2023/466 has just been published, amending the MRLs for isoxaben, novaluron and tetraconazole.
The MRLs for isoxaben have been set at the matrix-specific LODs with the exception of courgettes (the MRL remains at 0.05 mg/kg) and fresh shelled beans and peas (MRL at 0.02 mg/kg).
MRLs for novaluron were set at the matrix-specific LOD.
The MRLs for tetraconazole were lowered on bean/japanese bean, apricot, peach, grapes, strawberry, cucurbits with edible skin (cucumbers, gherkins, courgettes), rye, wheat and milk.
They were increased on tomatoes, aubergines, cucurbits with inedible skin (melons, pumpkins, watermelons) and chicory roots.
They were maintained on apples, pears, quinces, medlars, persimmons/Japanese plums, endives, artichokes, linseed, rape seed and eggs.
For all other matrices, they have been set in the GL.
Article 2 of the Regulation specifies that the former MRLs for isoxaben and tetraconazole continue to apply to food produced in or imported into the EU before 26 September 2023.
The regulation will be applicable on 26/09/2023.
