Phytocontrol offers you the analysis of specific F-specific RNA phages (FRNAPHs) in freshwater and wastewater.
Specific FRNAPHs are bacterial viruses, non-pathogenic for humans, capable of infecting a host source, such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella Typhimurium. These bacteriophages, as well as somatic coliphages, are used as indicators of the microbiological quality of the water and evidence of faecal contamination. Their presence therefore indicates faecal pollution of the water.
Our water analysis division has developed a rapid and standardised method (standard NF EN ISO 10705-1 coupled with standard ISO 10705-3) for the analysis of specific FRNAPHs. Our expertise allows us to rely on 4 analysis protocols to respond to all types of water. The regulatory criteria for wastewater is defined by a limit of quantification of 1 PFU/mL and limit of quantification of 1 PFU/100mL for freshwater (including wastewater). We can adapt to your needs and carry out analyses on larger volumes.
Phytocontrol is able to offer you a complete range of phage analyses in compliance with the NF EN ISO 10705-1, ISO 10705-2 and ISO 10705-3 standards on:
