Two years after the first edition, the Phytocontrol group gathered more than 300 people during the international FOOD Risk conference which took place on June 8 and 9 in Nîmes.
Food fraud, product authenticity and origin, digital traceability, regulations, new tools and new analytical methods... these were some of the topics discussed during the 17 conferences and 2 round tables moderated by the famous journalist Jérôme Bonaldi over the course of the two-day conference.
An event for which 35 expert speakers - institutional players, professionals from the agri-food and mass distribution sectors, academics and researchers - were present with a single objective: to contribute to the safety of tomorrow's food and to meet consumers' expectations.
Identifying food safety and fraud risks is an international challenge for distributors, traders and food manufacturers.
Between globalisation and global warming, the factors impacting on food safety are numerous and push back the borders every day.
This year, more than ever, it was important to give international participants the opportunity to attend the conference remotely. For this second edition, FOOD Risk was also broadcast online with a hundred or so participants connected to represent 14 countries!
"FOOD Risk 2022 is a success because we have highlighted many solutions which, as we have seen, can only be collective, cooperative and international. This is why a conference like FOOD Risk is important and must be repeated. We look forward to seeing you in 2024 for a new edition" Mikaël Bresson, President Phytocontrol Group.
