The Phytocontrol laboratory has developed a new specific method under COFRAC accreditation for the simultaneous analysis of chlordecone in water, as well as its 2 metabolites: chlordecol and chlordecone-5b-hydro.
Chlordecone is a pesticide formerly used in banana plantations which is still found in soils and waters (rivers, marine coastline...). It is recognised as neurotoxic, reprotoxic and classified as a possible carcinogen by the WHO.
Research for this insecticide, described as an endocrine disruptor, is carried out in a specific mono-residue to guarantee quality and reliability of your test results.
You will find details of the parameters accredited according to this new method in our scope of accreditation 1-6066.
