Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/585 of 27 April 2020 concerning a multi-annual coordinated EU monitoring programme for 2021, 2022 and 2023 to ensure compliance with maximum levels of pesticide residues in food of plant and animal origin and to assess consumer exposure to them was published on 29 April 2020.
This Regulation will enter into force on 1 January 2021.
Thirty to forty foodstuffs constitute the main components of the diet in the Union. As pesticide uses change significantly over a three-year period, pesticides must be monitored in these food products over a series of three-year cycles to assess consumer exposure and the application of EU legislation.
Your Phytocontrol laboratory is already able to search for all active ingredients included in this control programme 2021, 2022 and 2023!
The control will cover 36 different foodstuffs for a total of 683 samples to be analysed.
