Regulation (EU) 2020/703 amending Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 has been published in the OJEU.
This Regulation amends the MRLs applicable to residues of dimethoate and omethoate on fresh cherries.
The active substance 'dimethoate' was banned via implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1090 and authorisations for plant protection products containing the active substance 'dimethoate' were withdrawn by 31 December 2019. The period of grace granted by member states was until 30 September 2019 for specialities used on cherries.
The MRLs for dimethoate and omethoate were therefore lowered to 0.01 mg/kg on fresh cherries.
This Regulation is applicable from 16/12/20.
Please note that our laboratory carries out the analysis of dimethoate and omethoate in non-fatty products of vegetable origin under COFRAC accreditation (Scope N°1-1904 available on the COFRAC website).
