Regulations (EU)
2019/1791 and
2019/1792 amending Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 were published in the OJEU.
These regulations modify the MRLs for several pesticide residues in foodstuffs.
- Regulation 2019/1791: this regulation introduces the following changes to MRLs:
The MRL for cyprodinil on fennel was reduced from 0.3 mg/kg to
4 mg/kg.
The MRL for fludioxonil on fennel was increased from 0.05 mg/kg to
1.5 mg/kg.
The MRL for fluopyram on broccoli was increased from 0.3 mg/kg to
0.4 mg/kg.
The MRL for trifloxystrobin on broccoli was increased from 0.5 mg/kg to
0.6 mg/kg.
The MRL for pyridaben on tomatoes and aubergines has been reduced from
0.05 mg/kg to
0.15 mg/kg.
An MRL of
0.02 mg/kg was set for florpyrauxifen benzyl in rice. This MRL takes into account the representative use on rice under Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in the Union.
A specific MRL of
0.7 mg/kg applies for
oyster mushrooms. The MRL at 0.09 mg/kg is maintained for the other cultivated mushrooms. According to monitoring data, cross-contamination between untreated cultivated mushrooms and straw treated with legal mepiquat may occur.
This Regulation is applicable from 18/11/19.
The MRLs for the following active substances have been set at the level of the applicable limit of determination (LOD) taking into account:
- the non-renewal of the approval of the active substances'amitrole','flupyrsulfuron-methyl','isoproturon' and'triasulfuron',
- the expiry of the approval of the active substances'fipronil' and'imazosulfuron'.
- the non-approval of the active substance'orthosulfamuron
This regulation is applicable as of 18/05/2020.
