Official controls on import

Regulation (EU) 669/2009 of the european commission sets the rules for official controls to be carried out on imported products of animal feed and plant products. Targeted products and their origin are identified in Annex I to the Regulation.

Following the results and relevance of food incidents reported by the European Rapid Alert System (RASFF), it was necessary to amend annexe I by deleting the products for which the degree of compliance is satisfactory and adding to other products whose degree of non-compliance justifies the implementation of official controls.
The Regulations 799/2011 of 9 August 2011 amending Annex I to Regulation 699/2009 and applicable from 1 October 2011, introduced the various changes.

We will note the strengthening of official controls on products below:

- Fresh Pomelos from China with research of residus below: triazophos, triadiméfon et triadimenol, parathion-méthyl and phentoate

- Leaves Tea (black and green) from China: buprofézine, imidaclopride, fenvalérate (RR,SS), fenvalérate (RS,SR), profenofos, trifluraline, triazophos, triadiméfon et triadiménol, cyperméthrine.

- Yardlong beans, bitter melon, lauki, peppers and aubergines from Dominican Republic: amitraze, acéphate, aldicarbe, carbendazime(+bénomyl),, chlorfénapyr, chlorpyrifos, dithiocarbamates, diafenthiuron, diazinon, dichlorvos, dicofol, diméthoate(+ométhoate), endosulfan, fenamidone, imidaclopride, malathion, méthamidophos, méthiocarbe, méthomyl, monocrotophos, oxamyl, profénofos, propiconazole, thiabendazole et thiacloprid.

- Oranges, Peaches, Pomegranates, Strawberry et green beans from Egypt: carbendazime(+bénomyl), cyfluthrine, cyprodinil, diazinon, diméthoate(+ométhoate), éthion, fénitrothion, fenpropathrine, fludioxonil, hexaflumuron, cyhalothrine, méthiocarbe, méthomyl, oxamyl, phenthoate et thiophanate-méthyl.

- Piments d'Egypte avec recherche des substances suivantes:carbofuran, chlorpyrifos, cypermethrine, cyproconazole, dicofol, difenoconazole, dinotéfuran, éthion, flusilazole, folpet, prochloraze, profénofos, propiconazole, thiophanate-méthyle et triforine.

- Curry leaves from India: triazophos, oxydéméton-méthyle, chlorpyriphos, acétamipride, thiaméthoxame(+clothianidine), méthamidophos, acéphate, propargite et monocrotophos.

- Fresh Okra from India: acéphate, méthamidophos, triazophos, endosulfan et monocrotophos.

- Peppers from Thaïland: carbofuran, méthomyl, diméthoate(+ométhoate), triazophos, malathion, profénofos, prothiofos, éthion, carbendazime, triforine, procymidone, formétanate.

- Coriander leaves, basil, yardlong beans, aubergines et brassica vegetable from Thaïland: acéphate, carbaryl, carbendazime, carbofuran, chlorpyrifos, chlorpyrifos-méthyle, diméthoate(+ométhoate), éthion, malathion, métalaxyl, méthamidophos, méthomyl, monocrotophos, ométhoate, profénofos, prothiofos, quinalphos, triadiméfon, triazophos, dicrotophos, EPN et triforine.

- Sweet Peppers et Tomatoes from Turkey: méthomyl, oxamyl, carbendazime, clofentézine, diafenthiuron, diméthoate, formétanate, malathion, procymidone, tétradifon et thiophanate-méthyle.
