The thiram or tetramethylthiuram disulfide with chemical formula C6H12N2S4 in the family of dithiocarbamates is a fungicide of contact applied on many cultures, fruit trees.
It has an effect of inhibition on a large number of mushrooms; its lifetime on the cultures is in the order of 2 or 3 weeks.
The Research and Development department of PHYTOCONTROL has just finalized a new method of research for the thiram thanks to a method of specific extraction and to a detection by liquid chromatography high performance coupled in mass spectrometry in tandem (HPLC / MS / MS).
Contrary to the method Keppel or we measure simultaneously all the pesticides of the family of dithiocarbamates with CS2 with a possible way on certain vegetables, our method allows to measure specifically this molecule which represents in the list of the European regulation(payment) 396/2005 with its own LMR.
