Pesticides: We note this week fourteen notifications of border rejection concerning the detection of:
- Endosulfan, monocrotofos, triazofos, acetamiprid and dimethoate in okra from India
- Dimethoate in oranges from Portugal
- Dimethoate and Omethoate in oranges from Egypt
- Procymidone and Clofentezine in peppers from Turkey
- Dimethoate and Omethoate in aubergines from Thaïlande
- Pirimiphos methyl in maize for pop corn from Argentina
- Thiophanate methyl in strawberries from Egypt
- Methidation in pomelos from China
- Ethephon in red seedless grapes from Namibia and Lebanon
- Procymidone in tomatoes from Tunisia
Mycotoxins: We note seven notifications of border rejection concerning the detection of:
- Aflatoxins in groundnut kernels from Brazil
- Aflatoxins in groundnuts from Argentona
- Aflatoxins in peanut butter from the USA
- Aflatoxins in dry figs from Turkey
- Aflatoxins in almonds from USA
- Aflatoxins in chilli powder from India
- Aflatoxins in raw milk from Slovenia
Heavy metals: We note one alert concerning the detcetion of tin in canned sliced pineapple from Thaïland via germany.
Additives: We note one border rejection concerning the detection of sulphite in dried apricots from Lithuania.
